This last weekend I planned mini sessions. Two on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 6 sessions total. Of course it had to be the wettest weekend in Humboldt County that we've had this winter!!. I was able to whip out 2/6... not too shabby if I say so myself ;) It rained most of Friday, but it let up a tad around 4 and we were able to sneak out to the beach to snap some quick photos. Let me tell you... Jasmine ROCKED her session. She was up for pretty much anything I suggested. Pretty much the perfect client!
I found that cute umbrella at Target. My intentions were to use it with her belly, to place it in front of her and photograph the shadow. Since there was no sunshine to even get a shadow, she held it up. She was able to hide from the rain for a few minutes while I snapped away. Then I needed it back so I didn't get my new camera too wet!
I made a few belly bands for maternity sessions, and Jasmine choose a neutral color one that looked lovely with her skin tone. I do offer these to expecting mothers, you just have to remind me at our consultation ;)
Here are my favorite two photos from this session... and YES.. they are black and white! There is something so stunning and loving about black and white.
The session I was able to sneak in on Saturday was great. Little Bella was so full of energy, I was able to capture her spirit perfectly. Even if it was Freezing! She kept warm by doing cartwheels on beach.
I love the close up ones of Bella and her Momma. They were so sweet to work with I think my favorites are the black and whites because Annie's hair is so dark. It really makes the whole photo POP <3
On Sunday it was really too wet for anything. EXCEPT for puddle stomping! We realized that my son didn't have a rain coat that fit him. We zoomed out to Target and they had only two styles, and thankfully one of them fit. Kinda. One size too big but that was ok :) I'll leave you with some super cute photos of him enjoying the rain. Happy Monday everyone!
